Hike Out Suicide

Welcome to “Hike Out Suicide”! Dennis and Marlo Miller, also known by their trail names, “Tuna and Minnow,” are hiking the Appalachian Trail to raise awareness and money for suicide prevention and mental health. Their mission, during their 2,192 mile journey, is to target the average person with two very important messages – that help is available for anyone considering suicide, and that awareness of suicide and mental health can come up anywhere, including the Appalachian Trail. Dennis and Marlo state that “It’s Okay to Not be Okay” and that we all need help now and then.

As a way to track their progress, Tuna and Minnow will be posting a weekly video blog, which will also be shared on Prevent Suicide PA’s Facebook page. All funds that are donated go back into Pennsylvania efforts towards suicide prevention. To donate, go to www.preventsuicidepa.org/donate-now. *Please note with your donation that you are donating on behalf of Hike Out Suicide.*

Tuna & Minnow's Mission
  • "With every step we take, we will be thinking about people that have lost a loved one to suicide, or are struggling themselves. If you, or anyone you know is hurting, please don’t suffer in silence. There is hope, there is help. We are here, we care. Your story is not over; share it."
